Description About the Position: Maintain minimum inventory level of chemical, packaging and accessory items, ensuring on time delivery to meet production demands and customer requested dates. Directly purchases plant supplies requested by production and maintenance. Essential Functions: Coordinate full process purchasing activity with manufacturing departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner beginning with intent to purchase and following through delivery. Anticipate any challenges or disruptions in supply or quality and provide alternative solutions Oversee vendors and ensure adequate procedures are in place to minimize variances and defect material issues Address vendor performance as needed to ensure products are delivered at the negotiated price, according to expectation and quality standards of the company.
