Job Description This position is responsible for developing and implementing strategies within the Preferred Distribution type of commodities such as IC's, passives, and interconnect. The incumbent will manage relationships with our key suppliers and be an escalation point in resolving supply problems as they arise. This candidate will assist the formulation and implementation of sourcing strategies, participate on cross-functional teams to ensure that BAE Systems is leveraging spend, effectively utilize resources, drive to best practices and improve overall supplier performance management. Job Description Work within team of procurement professionals to action material requisitions per MRP planning recommendations for assigned commodities. Using sources approved by engineering to meet the required specification, the analyst issues Requests for Quotations (RFQ's), and follows through with negotiating pricing and delivery terms and crafting purchase orders while ensuring compliance to all company procurement procedures. Negotiate purchase requirements with suppliers to meet target pricing and/or ensure best value procurements for BAE Actively work with suppliers to resolve schedule conflicts, and follows through with material planners to ensure understanding of delivery commitments.
