Vertiv is hiring a Buyer in Ironton, Ohio who will be responsible for planning and procuring material to meet customer requirements at an optimal cost. The Buyer is responsible for maintaining inventory levels, address shortages and support product evolution daily. The Buyer is responsible for securing the necessary materials to meet the needs of customers and the business. The Buyer works with more complex suppliers and supply chains in order to develop a foundation of basic practices and procedures. The Buyer develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive and may recommend cost saving proposals including make-versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing.
