Job Description Essential Job functions : Places orders for stock and non-stock items. Products and services may include medical supplies, housekeeping and environmental services supplies, equipment repairs, equipment rentals, office supplies, and other assignments as directed. Purchases under contracts contributing to the standardization process, lower costs, and quality patient care delivery. Ensures maximum possible savings by identifying products that appear to have the greatest potential for savings through contract compliance, standardization, and consolidation of material purchases and the distribution process by monitoring and identifying repetitive non-standard purchases, identifying appropriate contracts and specifications for the selection of products and suppliers to maximize usage and compliance with existing contracts and standards.
