The Headlines:
In the role of Sr. Category Manager - Cans working in Milwaukee, WI, you will be part of the Procurement team. The Sr. Category Manager will be responsible for leading the category team covering multiple areas of purchases or a significant total spend (between $300M-$1B.) You will use strategic sourcing principles including spend analysis, market intelligence, contract management, negotiations, risk mitigation, and supplier management. This will include delivering cost savings and other financial metrics and managing supplier and stakeholder relationships.

You will lead departmental operations in Procurement towards the vision of a high performance team culture and drive change management initiatives to continually improve our process operations to meet World Class Operations Standards.

This position reports to Director of Procurement and works closely with cross functional teams.

The Responsibilities:
• Daily management and on-going development of team members within the category team
• Manage suppliers, including supply assurance, Scorecarding, and active KPI monitoring
• Responsible for managing the creation of category result objectives on a North America level, including cost savings targets
• Maintain an annual cost savings target of $5M-$10M per year
• Responsible for monitoring risks and opportunities within the team's category
• Responsible for managing and reporting on category annual operating planning cycle, including yearly planning activities
• Manage stakeholders, including Finance and Treasury, regarding category strategies and risk management, and partner with senior level internal stakeholders to align on priorities and needs
• Understands relevant business priorities and needs
• Owns and oversees contract compliance once agreement is signed

The Other Qualifications:
• 8 or more years of relevant experience and people management skills

• Contract management, spend analysis, and e-sourcing tools experience. Industry certification (ISM, CIPS) is preferred, not required.

• Expert in category strategy, strategic sourcing, supplier management, spend analysis, and contract negotiation skills
• Experience in beverage or fast-moving consumer goods
• Bachelor's Degree in related field, but MBA or Masters is preferred
