Overview

Support Sr. Management with the organization and improvement of strategic supply chain forecasting processes to ensure optimal execution. Under little to no guidance, develops and/or expands the utilization of key performance indicators (KPI's) and other metrics to be used by the business units, performs in-depth, complex analysis to continuously identify deviations, areas of opportunity, and corrective actions. Develops and proposes innovative and concrete solutions to improve forecast accuracies in order to drive efficiencies within the Oilseed Value Chain.This position will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager.

Essential functions
  • Conduct complex and in-depth analysis of the forecast to ensure accuracy and to correctly identify discrepancies while also identifying opportunities and strategies to create new or capitalize on existing synergies
  • Develop and maintain forecasts, plans and strategies to optimize cost, service, and inventory objectives and align key performance indicators to ensure successful execution of business objectives
  • Collaborate with key internal groups such as Sales, Customer Service, Transportation, and Operations to understand forecasting drivers and to reach consensus on the forecast
  • Understand and respond to upcoming events, and recognize how they can impact future supply needs (pricing, promotional events, new product launches, etc.)
  • Be an integral member of the Supply Chain team in resolving discrepancies between supply capabilities and expected demand
  • Manage process to drive continuous improvement in KPI metrics
  • Work with production planning and deployment to transfer/translate forecasts for operational purposes
  • Ensures successful customer promotion execution through communication with appropriate teams
  • Provide support and training to other end users of the forecasting tools
  • Be an essential member of key tactical and strategic initiatives


Qualifications/ Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (required)
  • Expert level of experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (required)
    • Intimate knowledge of forecasting software tools, such as John Galt Atlas Planning (preferred)
    • Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau (preferred)
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments within the organization (required)
  • Proven, effective analytical skills (required)
  • Ability to work effectively under time constraints and multi-task (required)
  • Motivated self-starter who is organized, efficient and team-oriented (required)
  • Five to seven years related experience with a proven track record in supply chain value (preferred)
  • Demonstrated understanding of supply chain - logistics, planning, supply chain optimization processes, etc. (preferred)
