Overview

Position Summary: The Manager Supply Chain, provides management and oversight of all supply chain functions at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Responsible for continuously improving the Receiving, Storeroom, Central Services, inventory, and equipment management. Will manage outsource contract services and lead all strategic activities and projects within the department. Responsible for all day-to-day operational activities including inventory replenishment, customer service requisitioning, shipping, receiving, warehousing, supply distribution and revenue capture. Develops and maintains policies, procedures, and processes to ensure effective and efficient logistics operations. Ensures the delivery of excellence in customer service to all customers by staff and responds to customer service issues effectively and in a timely manner. Responsible for working with both the Nursing, Clinical and Supply Chain Management Departments to ensure that the strategic direction of the organization is met in terms of clinical product standardization, clinical product quality, and supply expense management/ cost containment. Reviews the current group purchasing (GPO) contract portfolio, develops comprehensive clinical utilization protocols, develops, and executes a product-standardization plan for clinical products within patient care areas. Builds strategic alliances with Children's Hospital Los Angeles' staff primarily Supply Chain Management and clinical department Directors, Assistant Directors and Managers.

Minimum Qualifications: 4+ year's supply chain management experience in healthcare, preferably in an academic research hospital. 5+ years of supply chain experience.

Education/Licensure/Certifications: Bachelor's Degree (Business preferred) or equivalent. CMRP certification preferred.
