Job Description

SUMMARY:

Lead CDI's Corporate Sourcing team and the sourcing / purchasing managers at CDI's properties in developing and ensuring a stable, diverse, and cost-effective network of suppliers that are executing to CDI's high quality and service standards. Responsible for developing and implementing CDI's overall sourcing strategy including identification and negotiation of company-wide contracts with the business segment leaders and the sourcing team. Responsible for building relationships with key suppliers and leading the sourcing team in the negotiation of pricing and controlling of external sourced costs for CDI's properties. Responsible for development and implementation of company-wide sourcing policy, procedures, and documentation. Responsible for identification and implementation of a new sourcing technology platform with CDI's Corporate Technology team and CDI's properties.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, supply chain management, or related field.
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Strategic sourcing / negotiation certificates preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 -15 years' experience in strategic sourcing for multi-property businesses with proven results via scaling and cost savings.
  • Strong demonstrated management and leadership skills including ability to operationalize strategic plans.
  • Ability to create and implement effective negotiation strategies and a track record of delivering cost savings while strengthening supplier partnerships and leading cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Working knowledge of contemporary strategic sourcing technology systems required. Working knowledge of Coupa or Ariba preferred.
  • Familiarity with common contractual terms and conditions to mitigation risk while remaining in compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and relationship skills, ability to navigate through change and an inspiring leader sought after for advice, known for being a positive change agent and building consensus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and strategic / critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent financial acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication / presentation skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to cultivate working relationships throughout the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products including Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access.
  • Willingness and ability to pass suitability requirements of a gaming licensing body, including submission of detailed background and financial data, if required.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The VP - Corporate Sourcing for CDI leads CDI's Corporate Sourcing team and the sourcing / purchasing managers at CDI's properties in developing and ensuring a stable, diverse, and cost-effective network of suppliers that are executing to CDI's high quality and service standards.

  • Responsible for developing and implementing CDI's overall sourcing strategy that ensures a stable, diverse, and cost-effective network of suppliers.
  • Recruit, manage, coach, and lead a diverse sourcing team organized by category of spend
  • Work with business segment leaders and the sourcing team to identify and prioritize key categories of spend for negotiation of company-wide contracts.
  • Responsible for building relationships with key suppliers and leading the sourcing team in the negotiation of pricing and controlling of external sourced costs for CDI's properties.
  • Responsible for development and implementation of company-wide sourcing policy, procedures, and documentation.
  • Responsible for identification and implementation of a new sourcing technology platform with CDI's Corporate Technology team and CDI's properties.
  • Lead Supplier Diversity and Sustainability initiatives, in alignment with CDI's overall ESG strategy.
  • Enable and champion data analytics to improve the insight both within the team and across the enterprise into the total cost and quality of externally sourced goods and services.

  • Ensure the sourcing team is utilizing state of the art techniques, tools, and technology as possible.
