Manufacturing General Manager / Multiple Site Leader (>50% US travel)

Our client is seeking a General Manager of Manufacturing for their wholesale manufacturing division. You will report to the Vice President in this role, and multiple manufacturing plant managers will report directly to you. You will be responsible for overall plant operations for multiple manufacturing sites in the US, where you promote safety, quality, process improvement, and people development. You will own accountability for performance of the manufacturing plants.

This position will begin with a 90-120 day onsite training at manufacturing plants. You will then be based in the Atlanta area and travel >50% of the time to multiple manufacturing plants as you drive performance and build capabilities.

Salary $83,000-$125,000 depending on experience. 10% bonus potential. Company health and benefits.

Requirements

• 15+ years of manufacturing plant leadership (experience leading multiple manufacturing plants at one time is a plus)
• Full ownership across safety, quality, delivery, process, and cost
• Proactive approach to problem identification and solving
• Experience building and leading a cohesive team across multiple manufacturing locations
• Proven skill leading process improvement exercises (e.g., lean, Six Sigma) and sales improvement initiatives
• Knowledge of costing, pricing, and new product development processes
• Exceptional communication skills
